Nana

March 17, 2009

Today I lost my Nana.   She passed after a long and difficult battle with cancer.  I can’t describe the sadness I am feeling at this time, but also the feeling of relief in knowing that she is no longer suffering and is now at peace.  My Nana was an amazing woman, a loving grandmother, and one of my best friends.  Those of you who knew her know how funny, and full of life she once was.  She will be missed dearly.

I want to share my favorite photo of Nana and me.  I have always loved this photo, especially now. I will cherish it always.

Lindsi - Thanks everyone for the nice words. This has always been one of my favorite images from my whole body of work. I had it in the Spring Into Art show a few years ago, and it won Honorable mention in a student show at VSU. I could look at this photo for hours. Nana will be greatly missed.
