Each year the Valdosta Daily Times puts together a list of the Best of South GA. The readers of the Valdosta Daily times are asked to submit the names of their favorite businesses as nominations. Lindsi Jones Photography is nominated for one of the top 3 best photographers. I could not be more excited and proud. I am so grateful to every person that wrote my name on their ballot or sent my name in through online voting. Thank you so much for taking the time to nominate me!

Now it’s voting time! Please visit the voting site to cast your votes online, or look inside the Sunday edition of the Valdosta Daily times for a physical ballot. Voting starts today, January 31, and extends through February 9th, you must vote for at least half of the categories or your vote will not count, one entry per email address, you do not have to be from Valdosta to vote.

Portrait Day- September 3rd

Lindsi Jones Photography is hosting a day of portraits in Nashville, GA, on September 3rd, 2011. Session fee only $45! Session includes 20 minutes of shooting time with Lindsi Jones, editing of all proofed images, and online proofing. These sessions result in about 12 to 20 proofed images. This is a great opportunity to get beautiful images of your family without spending alot of time and money. There are a limited about of spots for these sessions so book yours today! Holiday Card Info

I know many of you plan to mail out cards to all of your friends and family to wish them a Merry Christmas, and happy holiday season. What better way to greet them then to send them a photo of your family! In order to keep my clients cards original and one of a kind I will be designing each card to fit the tastes of each family featured. Here are a few examples to get an idea of what you can expect if you order your holiday cards from Lindsi Jones Photography. Keep in mind all cards can be customized to the colors you like, and the message you would like to deliver. Here are some examples from last Christmas. You are not limited to the choices shown!

I can design your card to fit one photo or multiple photos, and customize your message and the colors featured on the card. You are not limited to the choices shown! If I recently shot your wedding or engagement photos you may want to consider using those images as greeting cards to celebrate your first Christmas as a married couple or if you have recently had a family session and would may want to use those images for your card. Let me know if you would like for me to design a few options for you!

All cards are printed on 5×7 Kodak photographic paper and include envelopes to fit. Cards must be ordered in groups of 25. Prices are as follows.

25 Cards with envelopes- $50
50 cards with envelopes- $85
100 cards with envelopes- $150

If you need more than 100 please let me know and I will give you a quote for the amount you need.

Holiday Portrait Weekend- November 13th and 14th

Due to the great success of my previous mini portrait session days, I have decided to offer an entire weekend of mini sessions in various local locations. Holiday Portrait weekend will be held November 13th and 14th with sessions in Nashville, GA and Valdosta,GA. This time around I am offering something extra special. To show my appreciation to the 100s of clients that have trusted me with their photos over the years I am offering a Client Loyalty discount on these sessions!

Saturday, November, 13th sessions will be held at the beautiful Deloach Farm in Nashville, GA with morning sessions from 8am – 10:30am and afternoon sessions from 2pm – 5pm.

Sunday, November, 14th sessions will be held at Valdosta State University’s North Campus Park morning sessions are available from 8am-10:30am. Afternoon sessions will be held in Downtown Valdosta from 2pm- 5pm.

Each session will last about 20 minutes and result in about 12 proofed images. Proofs from these sessions will be ready for ordering with plenty of time for Christmas cards, and Christmas gifts! The sitting fee for this session is only $45. If you are a returning client that has worked with Lindsi Jones Photography in the past you will receive your sitting fee at a discounted rate of $30! A limited amount of time slots are available, so book your spot today! More details below!

All of the location options are beautiful and make excellent backdrops for portraits. I know because I have shot at all of them multiple times and they are some of my most favorite locations! If you are unfamiliar with any of the locations, or not sure which location works best for you and your family I have arranged a gallery of images from previous sessions at each of the locations to help you choose, and to give you some examples of my work! Details

- The sitting fee for this session is $45

-If Lindsi Jones Photography has photographed your family, children, pets, wedding, birthday party, or event your sitting fee will be discounted to $30

- Session times booked in 30 minute increments between 8:00am – 10:30 and 2:00pm – 5:00

- Sessions are limited to children ages 3 and up due to small time slots, unless accompanied by an adult, and to groups of 5 or less. If you are interested in having larger groups photographed, multiple times slots can be booked.

- Session fees are due at time of booking and are non refundable

- Sessions will begin and end on time at the exact time of booking. Late clients will not be guaranteed their full shooting time.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Whether you are spending it doing something special with someone special or if its just another day I hope it’s a good one.

In honor of Valentine’s day I bring you images of a super cute couple! Meet Deek and Lauren. I met with them last week for their engagement session. These two were so cute and sweet! I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding this Spring.

Lowndes High School- Martin Stadium

I have mentioned this before, but for those of you that don’t know I am a student at Valdosta State. The degree I am working on is a Bachelor in Fine Art, with a major in Art Education. This is my last semester. I will graduate on December 13! YAY! As and Art Education major you spend your last semester of school student teaching. I am doing my student teaching at Lowndes High School teaching 9-12 grade Drawing, Visual Arts, and Ceramics.

I was asked to help the Art Honor Society at Lowndes with a fund raising project. The club had an idea to sell t-shirts with a photo of Martin Stadium on the back. Since I am a photographer I offered to shoot the image for them.

This was shot at last Friday’s home game against Colquitt County.

I am having some technical issues with my email. If you have sent me an email between now (Sunday August 25), and Thursday (Aug 21) it is very possible that I have not received your email, and I may never receive it. I believe all is working now. Relay for Life- Portrait Session

On May2nd Relay for Life is taking place at the Valdosta Middle School Track. Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature event. At Relay, people from within the community gather to celebrate survivors, remember those lost to cancer, and to fight back against this disease. Relay participants help raise money and awareness to support the American Cancer Society in its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health issue.

What does this have to do with portraits you ask? Well, one of the many fund raisers going on this weekend is a silent auction. One of the items up for auction is a Portrait Session and Print package from Lindsi Jones Photography.

If you win this item you will recieve:

1 one hour portrait session with Lindsi Jones
2 8×10 prints and 2 5×7 prints

If you don’t want the session for yourself you can win this item in the form of a gift certificate and give it to a friend!

How to leave a comment

I run into people everywhere I go who tell me they check my blog for new stuff everyday. I always tell them they should leave me some comments to let me know they have visited, but most of them don’t know how. So I am now going to show you guys so there is no confusion. Its really simple!

How to leave a Blog Comment.

1.Visit my blog

2. Read my post and admire the photos

3. Look to the bottom of the post and you will see the word COMMENTS, sometimes there might be a number in front of it which tells you how many other people have already left a comment. Look at the screen shot below to see exactly where to find the link. I circled it for you.

4. After you click the on COMMENT another window will pop up for you to type and submit your comment to me. If you have a pop up blocker running it might block the comment window. If so just disable the pop up blocker and try again.

5. When you get to this screen type away! Then choose who you want to post as. If you don’t have a blogger account thats OK you can choose to just leave your name or you can choose Anonymous.

6. Click PUBLISH YOUR COMMENT and you are finished! Its that simple!
