Should we take our wedding photos before of after the ceremony? Should the Bride and Groom see each other before the ceremony?

I highly recommend taking the majority of your wedding photos before the ceremony. Almost all of my bride and grooms see each other before the ceremony. Not only does it make the entire wedding day go more smoothly but it gives me the opportunity to photograph you seeing each other for the first time. This moment is always special and typically some of the best shots from the whole wedding day happen at that moment.  It will give me more time to spend photographing the two of you together with your wedding party and family. It also allows you to go directly to the reception after the ceremony so you can spend all of your time celebrating with your friends and family.  I have never had a couple regret seeing each other before for wedding. All of my couples who do so are very glad they did because it gives them a chance to spend more time with each other on their wedding day, and helps relieve any stress or nervousness about the ceremony

How soon after my wedding will I be able to see my proofs and where do I go to see them?

All proofs will be posted in the Client Area of Lindsi.com, about 2 to 4 weeks after the wedding.

Do you offer the option to purchase a CD, or DVD of wedding images?

Yes. Most packages offered by Lindsi Jones Photography include a DVD or images, with personal use and printing rights.

I have purchased a DVD with my wedding images. Where can I print them?

I recommend using Mpix.com for all of your printing needs. Mpix is an awesome source for high-quality digital prints at affordable prices.  Mpix uses Kodak professional printers and papers, and their machines are calibrated to national color standards.  They offer fast turn around and most orders are received about 2 days after the order is placed.

I DO NOT recommend using local One Hour Photo Centers for printing your images. The machines in these labs are often not well maintained and their operators are typically not trained photographic professionals.

Do you offer Wedding Albums?

I currently offer leather bound flush mount albums. Each album is custom designed for each couple.  I offer packages that include these albums, and have a variety of album options such as parent albums that can be added to any packages.

Are you available for travel?

Yes.  I am available for travel world wide and am an experienced traveler. I love shooting destination weddings and would love to travel for your wedding. Email for more specific information about travel.

What kind of equipment do you use, and do you have back up equipment?

I shoot with Canon camera bodies and lens.  I am currently shooting with a Canon 5D Mark II as my main camera, with a Canon 5D, and 30D as my backup bodies. I have a variety of  Canon lens, back up lenses, batteries, flash units, and memory cards.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Every package offered by Lindsi Jones Photography includes a complementary Engagement/Get to Know you Session.

What is a Get to Know you Session?

Like an Engagement session we will spend about an hour taking portraits of the two of you. This time is very important because it gives you a chance to meet with me before the wedding, get to know me a little better, get comfortable in front of my camera, and to experience my shooting style. It also gives me the chance to get to know you, and to provide you with beautiful photos of you and your finance.  Your proofs will be posted online at lindsi.com .I will also email one photo to your local newspaper to be used for your wedding announcement.

How many weddings have you photographed?

As of 2009 I have shot over 75 weddings.

Are my family and friends allowed to bring their camera and take photos at my wedding?
Of course they are! I encourage your friends and family to have fun taking photos with their point and shoot cameras, however I prefer for no one to be taking photos while I am shooting your wedding portraits, and family portraits. The reason for this is that in order for all of the photos to go smoothly and quickly I need every one’s attention. By having other people holding up cameras while I am working causes people to be confused as to which camera they should be looking at especially with group shots, it also takes up a great deal of valuable time.

I am working to add more information to this section.  If  you have any other questions please email me!  Thanks!
